The BlueTEC catalytic conversion technology makes use of the reactant AdBlue® to purify exhaust gases. With it, it is possible to reduce nitrogen oxides by up to 80 %. The currently cleanest diesel technology in the world is applied in the E 350 BlueTEC: already today it complies with the future EU 6 exhaust emissions standard.
The latest-generation CDI diesel engines combine irresistible performance characteristics with low consumption. Injection pressure has been increased, smoothness of operation enhanced and noise levels optimised – while reduced compression makes for lower emission levels.
Direct injection, increased compression and multiple turbocharging in the CGI engines enable top torque, output and noise reduction levels. Innovative engine technology makes it possible to significantly reduce emissions and fuel consumption compared with previous models.
